Community Engagement

What we do

We want to help people have fun while learning about the past. Alongside a wide range of events, including talks, walks, workshops, and school sessions, we work with a variety of organisations to deliver and support community projects.

Our enthusiastic and experienced team includes people with backgrounds in archives, archaeology, and teaching – and they’re all here to help you explore the past, from prehistory to the present day.

Did you know that we offer a wide range of services to teachers, schools and colleges? Our expert team can deliver engaging history talks covering anything from prehistory to World War II and beyond, archaeological lectures, and so much more, as well as give advice on how our archive library and resources can support teachers and cross-curriculum learning.
